What Customers Say About Epson EX70 3LCD Multimedia Projector, WXGA, 2000 Lumens:

We're really happy with it. I wanted to wait until we got a really nice roll up screen, or one of those inflatable outdoor screens, to review this, but I guess I can always update it.We love it. It's wonderfully immersing to sit in the semi darkness, the room blocked off by the sheet, watching the clear, bright picture up there. I don't know how it will be in the heat of summer though. It's also easy to stash away, since criminals look through windows for big screen TVs to steal, and we keep the curtains shut on movie nights because the projector works better if the room is at least mostly dark. It's a theater experience at home.

The portability factor is nice, and the ability to watch things on USB drives or SD cards instead of hooking it up to the computer or TV, although we haven't done that yet. It's very bright, the picture is excellent, and we hang a big white sheet over the entrance to the living room, we pop some corn or fry up some chips with our George Foreman spin fry thingy, and we watch movies projected onto the sheet, or lately, original Star Trek episodes (so the kids will feel that is the real Star Trek cast, and not these new fangled actors in the remake). I recommend it highly. You control the size of the picture by where you place the projector. The only drawback is the heat it gives off, I guess having a sheet covering the doorway doesn't help. We haven't had to crank the air conditioning higher, but we do run a fan to help out. So far we've just run it through the computer.

We look like TV-less family. So, it has a smaller footprint, it has a bigger picture, it provides an in depth movie experience with fewer distractions, and it's portable.I'm going to start selling the kids candy for $5 a box and we should have that new screen in no time.

So it works out for the games, for movies I would still suggest RCA connector and it's pretty good. We use it Commercially, Games, Home TheaterCommercially we use this product to the job of producing a big picture from 2 sources computer and Sony HDR-FX1. Our audience is anywhere from 100 to 300 people.Games we use PS3 to play soccer, and trust me you feel as if you are in the actual game.Home Theater, i'm never going to the theater again. One advantage though is the true HDMI screen quality but then sound will have to be used from the projector which is'nt that bad but not that good either. However sometimes you do feel in bright areas that it lacks the lumens but for [.]. bucks you can't go wrong.

The first two weeks I had this projector my kids hooked it up to their Playstation and had it project onto a white painting tarp. Except we did not have any popcorn at $8.00 a bag and the floor wasn't sticky. The final location of the projector will be further back, mounted to the ceiling, giving a screen size of about 110 to 120 inches. And it does. Then I came across this projector and realized that might work out better. Ok, a little background on myself, this is my first projector, and I am thrilled with it. The second thing is that the cooling fans suck in air right through the area around the lens and that seems to make the dust accumulate on the lens. With the surround sound system hooked up it really felt like we were in a theater watching the show. Even at a projected size of 95 inches the picture was remarkably clear and crisp.

HDMI, computer (component video), audio, video, S-video, two types of USB, and even an SD port to slide in your cameras memory card for slide shows. Well the material arrived and I hung it up, and the playstation was now so much clearer. So now its time to hook it to the DVD player to test the picture. I am in the middle of a basement remodel and needed a big screen tv for movies. I will submit an update once that has been completed.A few things I like about this projector are all the connections. Even on the low quality surface of the tarp, it was still a very good picture.I had been searching around for a projector screen and found some 130 inch screen material with a 1.2 gain on an online auction site. We loaded Casino Royale, and I set the projector up on a table and watched the opening scenes. Everything I attached seemed to be plug and play and I did not have to pick up the manual even once. Two things that I did notice, the lens sits down in the base and it looks like it needs to be moved up, but it does not, that is the design. Not much of an issue, I just have to clean the lens every now and again.Overall I am very pleased with this projector and look forward to years of home theater experiences.

After going through reviews of comparable Projectors i pulled plug on this.Excellent price. I am not disappointed its a gr8 product with crisp image i paired it with Sony Blu-Ray player WOW it rocks. The only Con is fan sound its bit loud.

This is my first time using a projector, and the Epson was very easy. It comes with a nice carrying case and is nice and light. It comes with a remote control that works when projecting from the computer and HDMI ports.I've used it on both Mac and Windows computers and it worked just fine on both.

You can connect it to your computer using a USB, if you're on a Windows computer. There are color mode options for video games, presentations, text, photo and theater, blackboard, and sports so the brightness mode will be optimal depending on your use.Another great feature is that you can present a slideshow using a SD card (there's a SD card slot) or a USB device, including an iPod. Its has a very intuitive interface and using the Quick Setup guide the setup took only a few minutes.

Next up will be connecting it to a DVD player. If you're on a Mac you'll need to buy an adapter, a mini-div to VGA for my Mac, which cost $20.The picture was fantastic, clear with nice clear picture and colors. I've used it for PowerPoint presentations, to show short media clips, for PDF presentations and it worked wonderfully for all.

So you can carry your presentation on a card, and just bring the projector. The unit itself is six pounds. All in all, a great projector and highly recommended.
